About The Role

As a Supermarket Assistant at Waitrose & Partners, you'll be instrumental in delivering an exceptional customer experience on each visit, driven by our Partner-led ethos and enthusiasm for quality food. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure shelves are consistently restocked, with items correctly placed and available to customers at the right time.
• Prepare online customer orders to be dispatched efficiently for home delivery by drivers.
• Minimize product waste by applying due diligence to items nearing expiration dates and marking them down accordingly.
• Collaborate with the broader shop team to provide support as needed, including checkout assistance, managing Click & Collect orders, and fulfilling urgent customer requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the store through routine shopkeeping duties.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles would be advantageous.
• Interest and up-to-date knowledge of trends in food and beverages.
• Adaptability to support various parts of the branch as required.
