About the Role
We are seeking a Superintendent for the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) team based in Jubail, dedicated to leading efforts in plant target achievement and ensuring the reliability of critical equipment. This role involves participating in strategic planning for E&I assets and advancing long-term reliability optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong safety culture within the Reliability department, guaranteeing adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Oversee the integrity, reliability, and performance management of Electrical & Instrumentation assets through robust monitoring, maintenance, and reliability initiatives conforming to industry standards.
- Lead continuous improvement projects by performing root cause failure analyses, executing corrective measures, and enhancing equipment reliability while controlling maintenance costs.
- Design and apply condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs to foster a proactive approach and maximize asset uptime.
- Regularly assess and upgrade E&I reliability protocols, standards, and practices to boost plant efficiency and output.
- Implement maintenance strategies based on risk and criticality prioritization to optimize resource use and asset management.
- Deliver expert technical advice and support in maintenance, reliability assessments, troubleshooting, and operational challenges concerning E&I.
- Assist the Reliability Manager and Engineers in meeting departmental objectives for reliability, availability, and performance.
- Assess emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve asset reliability and operational excellence.
- Lead initiatives for workforce skill enhancement, including competence assessments, training planning, coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Manage and control annual operating budgets, fixed expenditures, and capital expenditure plans for the E&I Reliability Section.
- Develop and oversee departmental budgets, work schedules, and resource plans ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Encourage collaboration and communication between E&I Reliability and other departments for integrated operational success.
- Provide leadership and performance feedback to boost employee engagement, skill development, and succession preparedness.
- Support maintenance efforts during major turnarounds, shutdowns, outages, and Turnaround Asset Management (TAM) events.
- Track and drive the execution of reliability improvement plans, ensuring timely completion of action items and commitments.
- Formulate and implement both short- and long-term reliability strategies that align with business goals, asset integrity, and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the petrochemical sector.
