Job description
Overview
We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Mechanical Specialist based in Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role involves preparing procedures, conducting inspections, developing maintenance plans, and overseeing mechanical equipment including diesel engines, lifting equipment, and HVAC systems.
Key Duties
- Execute detailed inspections and recommend repairs on diesel engines, HVAC, and lifting devices such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and reach stackers.
- Create equipment-specific task lists, preventive maintenance plans, and procedures for diesel engines, lifting equipment, HVAC, and other department-related assets.
- Draft scopes of work for repair tasks and annual rated contracts; perform technical assessments of contracts and proposals.
- Assess and procure materials necessary for maintenance and repairs; manage spare parts inventory via requests and material data governance.
- Conduct condition-based inspections and surveys; generate failure reports and lead root cause investigations following incidents.
- Perform risk assessments, management of change (MOC) evaluations, and oversee documentation such as drawings and reports; participate in clearance and safety processes including PDSA, PSSR, CFO.
- Undertake criticality assessments and reliability-integrity actions for mechanical assets.
- Coordinate and supervise project handover and takeover activities; maintain and update equipment master data within SAP; act as onsite lead during critical operations or work conditions.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should hold either a diploma in Mechanical/Electromechanical or a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering, with at least 13 years of relevant industry experience.
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency in SAP Maintenance Modules
- Experience with Meridium Asset Performance Management (APM) software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visio
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling
