Structural Drafter

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Drafter to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed structural shop, construction, and as-built drawings derived from engineer-approved designs. This role involves close collaboration with structural engineers and site personnel to ensure precision and constructability of the drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive structural shop, construction, and as-built drawings for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, stairs, and other structural components based on approved engineering designs.
• Develop detailed plans, sections, reinforcement drawings, and coordinate structural elements with architectural, MEP, civil, and landscaping plans.
• Incorporate feedback from consultants, respond to RFIs, and adjust drawings to reflect approved site modifications; verify all dimensions, levels, annotations, and revisions prior to final submission.
• Work closely with structural engineers and onsite teams to resolve inconsistencies in drawings and document verified as-built conditions.

Requirements

• Possess a diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Drafting, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
• Have between 2 to 5 years of experience in structural drafting and detailing, including producing construction and shop drawings.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in AutoCAD along with a solid understanding of structural components and reinforcement detailing, and capable of interpreting engineer-approved structural designs.
