Strategy and Operations Manager - BBVA CIB MENA

Overview

We are seeking a versatile, highly analytical, and proactive professional to join the Strategy and Operations department at BBVA CIB MENA. This role is crucial in setting up and strategically expanding our regional office.

Role Summary

In the capacity of Manager, you will connect overarching strategic goals with daily operational execution, ensuring excellence and efficiency across various workstreams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the formulation of a three-year growth strategy and refine the business case for the MENA region by delivering data-grounded insights to shape regional ambitions.
• Lead strategic projects from conception to implementation, ensuring alignment with regional objectives.
• Develop and manage presentation materials for senior leadership, continuously improving client-oriented commercial content.
• Design and implement business performance monitoring tools, tracking financial indicators including income, expenses, and key performance metrics to aid internal management and fulfill regulatory demands.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process and profit and loss oversight, ensuring accurate allocation of income and costs, and efficient financial estimations such as liquidity and revenues.
• Coordinate internal reporting concerning performance and cost trends for stakeholders spanning regional to global offices including London, Frankfurt, and Madrid.
• Manage onboarding processes for new employees, encompassing visa follow-ups, payroll initiation, and relocation arrangements.
• Serve as the local liaison for global Terms & Conditions initiatives, ensuring compliance with BBVA's international policies.
• Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary vendor services (bookkeeping, taxation, IT, legal, compliance), maintaining process efficiency and adherence to regional operational frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal Engineering and Business Execution teams to ensure office infrastructure development aligns with planned schedules and supports growth initiatives.
