Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated, mechanically oriented individual to join our Kalgoorlie workshop team as a Storeperson and Trades Assistant. This role involves supporting workshop operations and warehouse activities, maintaining equipment, and assisting with the receipt, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Support qualified Trade Technicians with technical tasks including pump servicing and repairs.
- Conduct testing of pumps after repair work.
- Perform spray painting on pumps post-repair.
- Prepare items for shipment and manage inventory effectively.
- Handle equipment delivery and collection from local customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping duties in the workshop and warehouse.
- Operate forklifts for moving and storing pumps and equipment.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience preferably in a workshop setting.
- Hold a valid forklift and HR license.
- Experience working in a storeperson role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals.
- Intermediate computer skills, especially with the MS Office suite.
- Experience or exposure to the pump industry or engineering environments is advantageous.
