About the Role
El Seif Operation and Maintenance is seeking a diligent and skilled Storekeeper to oversee warehouse and inventory functions. The role demands precise stock management, efficient handling of materials, and collaborative coordination with operational teams to ensure timely availability of necessary items.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify them against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Inspect quantity, quality, condition, and specifications of all received goods.
- Accurately maintain inventory records and promptly update all stock movements within the ERP or inventory software.
- Track stock levels, identify shortages or surpluses, and flag replenishment needs.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and participate in scheduled physical inventory audits.
- Investigate discrepancies in inventory and file necessary reports.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly, properly labeled, and are traceable.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and secure warehouse environment following FIFO and other inventory control measures.
- Prevent damage, loss, misuse, or deterioration of materials.
- Report obsolete, damaged, slow or non-moving stock.
- Distribute materials only upon receiving approved material requests.
- Keep precise records of all stock receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams to meet their material needs on time.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate warehouse documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
- Comply with company policies, inventory standards, and health & safety procedures.
- Support both internal and external inventory audits, ensuring all documentation is complete and accessible.
Candidate Profile
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent mandatory; diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience: Four to five years in storekeeping, warehouse operations, or inventory control, ideally within facilities management, operations or maintenance environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in ERP or inventory management systems; familiarity with Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable platforms is an advantage.
- Computer Skills: Competent with Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving aptitude are essential.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
- Capability to thrive in an operations-centric workplace.
