Storekeeper

Position Overview

The Storekeeper role involves receiving and handling merchandise per departmental needs at the Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Dubai, ensuring proper storage, organization, and stock rotation while maintaining food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise, stage it by department, and mark appropriately for facility placement.
• Transport merchandise to designated departments and stack items on pallets or carts.
• Complete inventory requisition forms and promptly notify management of low stock levels.
• Handle deliveries, ensuring perishables are stored correctly and stock is rotated accordingly.
• Inspect incoming goods for freshness, quality, cleanliness, and accuracy, rejecting damaged or incorrect items.
• Strictly follow food safety and handling procedures across all relevant areas.
• Organize, sanitize, and clean refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drainage systems.
• Dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and waste correctly.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to supervisors and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies regarding professional appearance, confidentiality, asset protection, and conduct clear professional communication with guests and colleagues.
• Maintain positive working relationships within the team and support collective objectives.
• Meet quality assurance standards and expectations consistently.
• Perform physical activities including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and navigating varied surfaces and confined spaces as required during the shift.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• No prior related work experience or supervisory responsibilities are required.
• No licensure or certifications necessary.
