Job description

Overview

Zota Health Care Limited seeks a dedicated Store In-Charge to oversee daily operations of its retail pharmacy stores in Kerala. This role entails ensuring smooth store functioning, managing staff, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service within the Dava India Pharmacy Stores network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operational activities of the pharmacy store.
  • Ensure proper opening and closing procedures per company guidelines.
  • Manage store team by assigning tasks and supervising performance.
  • Drive sales efforts to meet targets and support business growth.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels, proper display of medicines and products.
  • Monitor inventory movements, expiry dates, damages, and shortages consistently.
  • Conduct frequent stock verification and assist in audits.
  • Handle billing accurately and ensure correct cash management.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and store operational documents.
  • Comply with pharmacy laws, drug regulations, and company policies.
  • Ensure store cleanliness, hygiene, discipline, and professionalism.
  • Address customer queries and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Liaise with managers and HR regarding staff concerns and performance.
  • Track attendance, punctuality, grooming, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Assist recruitment, training, and onboarding processes of new hires when required.
  • Implement company policies, standard operating procedures, and guidelines diligently.
  • Coordinate with warehouse or supply teams for timely restocking.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports to superiors.
  • Take full accountability for store performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred educational background includes D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Pharmacy Council registration is preferred or mandatory where applicable.
  • Prior experience in retail pharmacy operations, store management, or team leadership is advantageous.
  • Candidates with strong retail management experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  • Ability to lead teams and independently oversee store functions.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts consistent with business needs.
