Overview
The Store Manager will be responsible for supervising the daily functions of the store, ensuring an enjoyable and efficient shopping experience, maintaining store quality standards, meeting financial targets, and communicating customer and product feedback to relevant stakeholders. This role demands strong leadership, organizational prowess, and knowledge of the fashion retail landscape.
Financial Responsibilities
- Lead the store team to reach sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure shrinkage remains below 0.2% of the cost of sales.
Operational Duties
- Conduct frequent financial and inventory audits.
- Maintain and communicate the store dashboard updates regularly.
- Uphold the store's visual merchandising standards.
- Manage employee records including leave, passports, performance, conduct, and rosters.
- Oversee daily store operations such as opening and closing procedures.
- Establish sales targets, track KPIs, and analyze sales data to pinpoint improvement areas.
- Hold routine team meetings to discuss objectives, expectations, and provide feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate consistently with higher management on store outcomes, challenges, and potential opportunities.
- Develop and execute action plans based on store performance metrics.
- Manage back store operations and merchandise replenishment.
- Implement security measures to safeguard customers and employees and prevent theft.
- Recruit, train, and nurture a high-achieving sales team.
- Control store expenditures, budgets, and financial objectives.
Customer Relations
- Drive the team towards meeting club apparel, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and Daily Store Employee Satisfaction (DSES) targets.
- Maintain strong relations with mall management.
- Coordinate effectively with the back-office team regarding store activities.
- Quickly address and resolve customer questions and concerns, aiming to exceed expectations.
- Manage employee performance and conduct actively.
Learning and Development
- Continuously improve personal and team skills to prepare future store managers.
- Identify skill gaps within the team and implement strategies to close them.
- Deliver training for new hires and ongoing product knowledge sessions.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
The candidate should ideally possess over 5 years of progressive experience in customer-focused roles combined with strong management, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated success in elevating customer engagement and surpassing store sales KPIs is essential. A bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related discipline is typically preferred.
