Job description

Overview

We are looking for a natural leader passionate about people, performance, and customer service to join H&T as a Store Manager. This role offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment making a meaningful impact in the community while leading the UK’s top pawnbroker and one of the leading jewellery and watch retailers.

Salary: £32,000 per year plus the possibility to earn up to £4,000 additional discretionary bonus annually, based on key performance indicators.

Location: Stockton, UK

Working Hours: Full-time with full flexibility across Monday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and coach your team to consistently achieve quarterly objectives and deliver excellent daily performance.
  • Create an environment of continuous learning and ensure your team is multi-skilled and customer-centric.
  • Set clear standards and role-model service excellence, ensuring customers receive tailored products and services.
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage financial performance by controlling costs and exploring growth opportunities to maintain profitability.
  • Collaborate with the regional team to share best practices and support overall business goals.
  • Plan and execute new initiatives efficiently, minimizing disruption for customers and employees.

Candidate Profile

  • A genuine commitment to maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional experiences for both customers and staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record in motivating and developing teams.
  • Previous Store Manager or Remote Manager experience within Financial Services or a customer-facing sector.
  • Multilingual abilities are an asset, reflecting the diverse customer base, but are not mandatory.
