Overview
This role is for a Store Manager position under Randstad India payroll, located in Manglege, Gujarat. The individual will oversee the entire store operations relating to inventory and warehouse management, ensuring a smooth supply of materials required for production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store and warehouse activities including receipt, storage, preservation, and distribution of raw materials, consumables, spares, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems and physical documentation.
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to avoid excessive stock or shortages.
- Execute periodic physical stock checks, cycle counts, and perform annual inventory audits.
- Apply FIFO and FEFO inventory management methods where relevant.
- Ensure proper labeling, bin location management, material identification, and traceability.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams to facilitate material flow.
- Verify and document all inward and outward material movements.
- Assess inventory for slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and suggest corrective measures.
- Maintain storage conditions that prevent damage, deterioration, or loss of materials.
- Generate inventory and MIS reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Lead and manage store personnel by assigning tasks and supervising performance.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, 5S principles, safety regulations, and warehouse best practices.
Required Skills
- Expertise in inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with SAP, ERP, or MRP systems.
- Competency in material receipt, issue, and stock verification processes.
- Experience in conducting cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Proficiency in documentation, record keeping, MS Excel, and MIS reporting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate degree in any field; certifications or diplomas in Material Management, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management are advantageous.
- Between 3 and 12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing store management.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Experience preferred in manufacturing sectors such as Automotive, Engineering, Forging, Steel, Bearings, CNC, or Heavy Engineering.
- Familiarity with handling raw materials, consumables, spares, and finished goods.
