Team and Operations

Our Explosive Ordnance Services team supports the Australian Defence Force with storage, distribution, maintenance, and disposal of sensitive systems nationally. Our logistics network comprises over 17 depots Australia-wide, offering extensive prospects for career progression and comprehensive understanding of business operations.

Role Overview

As the Stocktake Coordinator, you will assist the Stocktake Governance Manager in enhancing stocktaking processes and improving service efficiency. This role involves planning and conducting stocktake and spot check programs, managing inventory systems, and maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and implement stocktake and spot checks according to schedule
  • Review and analyze data to identify and report discrepancies or stocktake issues
  • Ensure all stocktakes are launched and finalized within designated timeframes
  • Carry out and document stock counts, participating in research and investigation procedures related to stocktaking
  • Compile and deliver reports on stocktaking performance measures
  • Coordinate with fellow Stocktake Coordinators and depot personnel to resolve warehouse-related concerns
  • Assist the Stocktake Governance Manager and engage in departmental meetings to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to broader Operations Group activities and manage small projects as assigned

Required Experience and Skills

  • Strong attention to detail accompanied by effective numeric, verbal, and written communication abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with stocktaking and warehouse workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Background in defence or warehousing environments is a valuable asset
