Stocker - Smallwares

About the Role

The Smallwares Stocker plays a crucial role in maintaining product availability and organization within the Smallwares department. This role involves stocking and packing products, ensuring a clean and safe workspace, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Duties

• Stock and pack products under the guidance of the Department Manager.
• Deliver courteous and professional assistance to customers entering the department.
• Help customers with loading and unloading products as necessary.
• Provide information and help customers find product locations.
• Maintain shelf tags and assist in inventory cycle counts.
• Keep the work area orderly and secure at all times.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other assigned duties related to the workplace.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic mathematical abilities.
• Strong communication capabilities.
• Dedication to delivering superior customer support.
• Knowledge of department products.
• Flexibility to work overtime if needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for up to four hours consecutively.

Working Conditions

• Generally comfortable ambient temperature.
• Work primarily involves standing and walking for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
• Physical tasks include lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying loads up to 50 lbs.
• Need to climb and descend up to 15 steps using a step ladder while carrying items safely.
• Physical requirements include posture tolerances such as reaching above shoulder height, twisting, bending, and kneeling.
• Presence of industrial vehicles such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks moving goods around the warehouse.
