Stewarding Associate

About the Role

As a key contributing member of our team at Aloft Abu Dhabi, the Stewarding Associate performs essential support functions across multiple hotel departments including kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry. Responsibilities include preparing clean linens and dining ware, operating cleaning machinery such as dishwashers and linen washers/dryers, and transporting these items as needed throughout the hotel premises. The role demands flexibility and dedication to cover various cleaning tasks in service of top-notch guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order by thoroughly cleaning linens, dishware, and food preparation areas.
• Operate and manage cleaning equipment like dish washing machines and hand wash stations efficiently and safely.
• Transport linens and dishware between various hotel departments promptly to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all company policies and procedures carefully to maintain workplace safety and service quality.
• Observe proper uniform standards, personal grooming, and professional communication at all times.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately to the management.
• Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, and maintain stamina by standing or walking for long periods.
• Flex and reach through activities like bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as required.
• Support supervisors with additional duties as needed to achieve team objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• There is no mandatory requirement for a high school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience related to the field is necessary.
• No supervisory experience is required for this position.
• No licenses or certifications are needed.
