Position Summary

At Aloft Hotels, the role goes beyond serving food and drinks. Our Baristas—referred to as Guest Service Experts—are committed to crafting memorable experiences alongside food and beverage service. These professionals engage in setting tables, liaising with the kitchen, attending to guest interactions and orders, and maintaining cleanliness of workstations and supplies. Their work aims to seamlessly integrate transactions into a welcoming experience for guests.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Success in this role depends on adherence to a safe working environment, compliance with company policies, maintaining quality standards, and a consistently professional appearance and communication style. The position involves prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sometimes sitting, navigating varied floor surfaces, and performing manual tasks such as lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds unassisted and 50 pounds with help. Flexibility and physical dexterity, including bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching, are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Completion of high school or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• Experience: Less than one year of relevant experience
• Supervision: No experience required
• Licensing/Certification: Not necessary
