Compensation
Hourly wage is set at $17.00. Please note this role is not eligible for tips, service charges, or discretionary performance bonuses.
Role Overview
The Steward supports the Stewarding Supervisor and restaurant teams by efficiently maintaining cleanliness and organization within the Food and Beverage outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort soiled dishware promptly and carefully to ensure proper cleaning by dish or pot machines.
- Utilize physical strength and stamina effectively, given the high activity demands.
- Maintain the cleanliness and water levels of the dish machine as per hotel standards.
- Operate burnishing equipment to ensure silverware has the correct finish.
- Remove tarnish and polish silver items to uphold appearance standards.
- Clean kitchen utensils such as kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans promptly to support kitchen operations.
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain consistent availability.
- Fulfill any additional job duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with service ware maintenance aimed at enhancing guest experience.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as pushing or pulling service carts weighing up to 150 pounds, and transporting goods up to 200 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Adaptable communication skills to effectively engage with supervisors, colleagues, and the public.
