Job Overview

As a Steward, you will support the Stewarding Supervisor and various restaurant outlets by maintaining cleanliness and organization within Food and Beverage areas.

Primary Responsibilities

• Sort soiled dishes efficiently to prepare them for dishwashing or potwashing machines.
• Clean all utensils and equipment promptly and return them to designated storage.
• Maintain dishwashing machines by ensuring cleanliness and proper water levels according to hotel standards.
• Operate a burnishing machine to polish silverware to a pristine finish.
• Remove tarnish and polish silver items to uphold appearance standards.
• Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans thoroughly to facilitate kitchen workflow.
• Adhere to attendance policies and maintain consistent work availability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned related to the role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Understanding of service ware maintenance to enhance guest experience.
• Capability to push or pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Able to carry or move heavy items (up to 200 pounds) safely through busy areas, with or without accommodation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt messaging for different audiences including supervisors and coworkers.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an hourly salary ranging from $16.00 to $16.75. Tipped or service charge bonuses are not applicable, nor are discretionary performance bonuses.
