Position Overview

We are looking for a diligent Steward to join our team at NH Collection Ibn Battuta Hotel in Dubai. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect all kitchen tools, cookware, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and work surfaces.
• Operate and monitor dishwashing machines to ensure proper function.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from designated areas appropriately.
• Track inventory levels of cleaning agents and chemicals, reporting shortages promptly.
• Support kitchen and service teams in setting up and dismantling buffets or banquet arrangements.
• Adhere to hotel safety and sanitation policies, including correct handling of chemicals.
• Organize, stack, and deliver cleaned dishware to storage locations.
• Handle kitchen equipment carefully to avoid damage or breakage.
• Conduct scheduled deep cleaning duties such as oven cleaning and grease trap maintenance.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen personnel to ensure smooth daily operations and a sanitary environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience as a steward or dishwasher in a hospitality setting is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene principles and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with safe handling procedures for chemicals used in cleaning.
• Good physical condition to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods.
• Strong attention to detail with dedication to maintaining cleanliness.
• Excellent teamwork abilities and a positive attitude.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
• Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
