Stat Programmer 2

Role Overview

In this position, you will offer advanced technical support to develop, test, and maintain programming solutions that fulfill both internal and external client requirements. You will lead the planning and creation of statistical programming tasks spanning the entire project lifecycle, while also serving as a key technical resource within the Statistical Programming group.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute programming, rigorous testing, and thorough documentation for generating statistical tables, figures, and listing summaries.
• Develop analysis databases (derived datasets) and manage data transfers for clients, including quality control checks when applicable.
• Integrate databases collected from diverse studies or sources into unified datasets.
• Create comprehensive programming documentation such as plans and specifications.
• Work collaboratively with clients and departments to propose and implement innovative project solutions.
• Design, validate, and implement new process technologies, macros, and software applications.
• Take on the role of statistical team lead for individual studies, with supervisory support.
• Understand project scopes of work, accurately estimate task completion, oversee out-of-scope elements, and potentially handle budgeting, resource management, and forecasting for studies.
• Mentor and train junior and new employees to build team capability.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, accompanied by at least six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and practical expertise.
• Have foundational knowledge in statistics, programming, and clinical drug development processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computing applications like Base SAS, SAS/STAT, and SAS Macro Language.
• Strong organizational skills paired with excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects effectively, maintaining high precision and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build and sustain productive working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
