Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled VMC Programmer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating, editing, and modifying VMC programs and have a solid understanding of engineering drawings and machining processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and refine VMC programming for machining operations.
- Interpret and comprehend engineering drawings accurately.
- Possess thorough knowledge of G-Code and M-Code for CNC operations.
- Set appropriate tool selection and cutting parameters for efficient machining.
- Adjust tool and work offsets to maintain precision.
- Configure VMC machines and conduct program prove-outs to verify accuracy.
- Perform first-piece inspections ensuring dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot tool wear and machining issues to minimize downtime.
- Improve cycle time and overall productivity through process optimization.
- Understand and apply GD&T principles and effectively use measuring instruments.
- Experience working with Fanuc or Mitsubishi CNC control systems.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 2 to 5 years of practical experience in VMC programming.
- Strong command of G-Code/M-Code programming languages.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of tool selection, cutting parameters, and offset settings.
- Familiarity with Fanuc or Mitsubishi control panels for CNC machines.
- Understanding of GD&T concepts and usage of precision measuring tools.
