Key Responsibilities
- Administer biweekly payroll runs for Australian and New Zealand entities, including calculating monthly commissions and incentives.
- Validate timesheets and timekeeping data by coordinating directly with store managers to address discrepancies.
- Ensure payroll compliance with the General Retail Award, employment contracts, Single Touch Payroll (STP), multi-jurisdictional payroll tax, superannuation, and Workers' Compensation.
- Manage New Zealand payroll obligations such as PAYE, KiwiSaver, ACC levies, and repayment deductions.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for the General Ledger, allocate costs by cost-centres, report on headcounts, and compile international financial summaries for regional management overseas.
- Process employee lifecycle changes, including onboarding, probation updates, salary adjustments, and complex termination and leave liability calculations.
- Support HR with light administrative tasks and update employee records alongside the HR team.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience handling end-to-end payroll operations.

- Preferably some experience or exposure to New Zealand payroll systems and regulations.
- Proficient with manual spreadsheets (intermediate Excel skills) and adept at using complex HRIS or time-tracking software.
- Highly organized with an analytical approach to managing manual data inputs and streamlining processing workflows.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Competitive base salary coupled with discretionary year-end performance bonuses.
- Attractive corporate benefits including staff discounts and dedicated investment in learning and development coaching.
- Work from a prime Sydney CBD location within a motivated, supportive, and friendly team culture.
- Experience secure, standalone ownership of an essential business function with steady annual operational workflow.
