About the Role
We are collaborating with a leading nationwide infrastructure solutions provider to recruit an experienced and proactive Payroll Officer at their corporate headquarters in North Ryde. This role is perfect for a skilled payroll professional who is confident in managing payroll systems, especially Chris21, and has experience working with multiple Enterprise Agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute complete payroll processing for a large workforce on varying pay schedules, including weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles.
- Maintain and update precise employee Masterfile information, handling new hires, internal transfers, position updates, and complex termination reconciliations.
- Import and carefully audit time and attendance inputs from timekeeping systems into Chris21.
- Interpret varied and multi-site Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards to ensure accurate payroll calculations, including wages, allowances, and penalty rates.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee and management payroll inquiries, providing prompt and professional resolution with excellent customer service.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
- Proficiency with Chris21 or iChris payroll systems.
- Experience handling payrolls for large organizations (with employee counts exceeding 2000).
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, tax regulations, and complicated Enterprise Agreements.
- Exceptional detail orientation, data management capabilities, and clear communication skills.
- Resilience and a solution-driven mindset combined with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
