Stakeholder Management Engineer

About the Role

Join Parsons Corporation as a Stakeholder Management Engineer based in Qatar, where you'll actively coordinate with a diverse range of project stakeholders including government bodies, utility providers, local communities, and contractors. Your role will be crucial in promoting seamless project delivery by ensuring effective communication, swiftly resolving issues, and fostering strong stakeholder relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as government authorities, utility agencies, and community representatives to facilitate project approvals, permits, and interface needs.
• Assist in preparing and submitting all stakeholder-related documentation, official correspondence, and periodic reports.
• Oversee and manage stakeholder requirements, expectations, and commitments to align them with project goals.
• Identify potential stakeholder conflicts or concerns that may threaten the project timeline or scope, and address them proactively.
• Plan, organize, and participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions as necessary.
• Maintain a detailed stakeholder engagement log documenting interactions, agreements, and major concerns.
• Work closely with engineering, construction, and planning teams to integrate stakeholder needs within project plans and execution.
• Help develop and implement strategies and communication plans for stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and collaborate with authorities to secure timely approvals and no-objection certificates (NOCs).
• Provide senior management with regular updates and reports regarding stakeholder issues and project progress.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• At least 10 years of experience in stakeholder coordination or related functions supporting large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience engaging professionally with public authorities, utility agencies, and diverse project stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with the capability to convey information clearly and tactfully.
• Comprehensive understanding of project lifecycles and the critical role of stakeholder engagement in ensuring successful delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with project management tools and documentation systems.
• Competence in drafting clear and concise reports and communications.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Prior experience managing stakeholder engagement on infrastructure projects such as highways, utilities, urban development, or rail networks.
• Experience liaising with government and municipal authorities in the Gulf region.
• Arabic language skills are considered a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple stakeholder interactions concurrently.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of local regulations, permitting protocols, and utility coordination processes.
