About the Role

Join Parsons Corporation as an HSE Inspector in Riyadh to foster and uphold a secure working environment adhering to both company and client health and safety policies. This role involves close collaboration with project and construction leaders to address and rectify any safety concerns threatening the wellbeing of project staff.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and submit safety data from client, contractor, and supervisory teams promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly safety-related reports and statistics for the client.
  • Exemplify safe personal conduct and be the organization’s representative on-site for all health, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Ensure that key safety documents from supervisory consultants and contractors are prepared, reviewed, approved, and implemented correctly.
  • Coordinate with HSE managers and engineers from the client, supervisory consultants, and contractors to address unresolved safety action items.
  • Conduct monthly workplace evaluations including office inspections and risk assessments.
  • Lead and support various health, safety, and environmental assurance activities such as organizing contractor meetings, delivering orientations for new employees and visitors, and facilitating HSE training programs.
  • Assist in incident investigations and analyze reports on first aid cases, near misses, injuries, damages, and overall safety performance during project execution.
  • Maintain professional communication with client representatives on all HSE matters.
  • Adapt working hours flexibly to provide adequate HSE coverage during shifts and weekend operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar HSE position.
  • Experience working in the Middle East region, preferably Saudi Arabia.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification or an equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Membership in a recognized professional body such as IOSH or IIRSM.

Preferred Attributes

  • A self-starter who can work independently with initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong skills in report writing and data collection related to HSE activities.
