Job description
Role Overview
The Stakeholder Interface Engineer acts as the main liaison between the project team and all external entities. This position is responsible for mapping and regularly updating a comprehensive stakeholder register containing contacts, terms of reference, memorandums of understanding, agreements, and similar documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for external parties, engaging with them to understand their requirements and concerns while effectively managing their expectations.
- Establish and oversee protocols for interaction between stakeholders and third-party contributors to ensure smooth project execution and development.
- Engage key third-party stakeholders affected by project activities to maintain productive relationships and provide regular reports to RCRC.
- Develop and implement an Interface Management Plan that outlines procedures for identification, development, and agreement processes with third parties.
- Manage interfaces by securing necessary permits and approvals for all project aspects; track, escalate, expedite, and address authority issues and associated risks.
- Communicate regularly with the client and key stakeholders regarding authority-related matters.
- Produce standardized documentation and periodic reports for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting critical issues, risks, resolutions, and project impacts.
- Disseminate a Monthly Stakeholder Report.
- Provide support to Procurement and Contracts departments as needed.
- Promote a collaborative team environment to address interface challenges, ensuring timely issue resolution and coordinated delivery of interface work.
- Coordinate timely distribution of relevant information to all concerned parties.
- Adhere to Hill International’s Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and procedures throughout employment.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 10 years of experience in strategic planning or project management roles.
- Proven experience with large-scale real estate development projects.
- Familiarity with water and wastewater master planning.
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management.
- Ability to develop formal Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding with strategic partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Well-presented with strong communication abilities.
