Stakeholder Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Stakeholder Engineer responsible for managing interactions with authorities, securing regulatory approvals, and coordinating between agencies involved in significant infrastructure and transportation projects within Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for communication and coordination with government bodies and relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee submission processes to authorities, ensuring timely receipt of permits, NOCs, approvals, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with government entities, consultants, construction contractors, and related project parties.
• Track progress of approvals from authorities, ensuring deadlines are met for submissions and responses.
• Evaluate project requirements and assist design teams throughout the stages of authority approvals.
• Facilitate coordination across multidisciplinary teams involved with infrastructure and transportation design criteria.
• Identify and address potential challenges related to approval delays or rejections, employing proactive measures to resolve issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of authority interactions, including correspondence, submissions, feedback, and approvals.
• Support project personnel in maintaining compliance with Abu Dhabi’s applicable regulations, design codes, and standards.
• Work closely with internal technical teams to respond to authority comments and expedite approval processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in stakeholder engagement, authority liaison, or managing regulatory approvals.
• Experience in UAE-based design consultancy or the construction sector is strongly favored.
• Comprehensive understanding of Abu Dhabi’s authority procedures, design standards, and approval workflows.
• Documented experience managing large-scale infrastructure and transportation projects.
• Proven capability in guiding and coordinating diverse technical and design teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks and expertise in handling authority submission protocols.
