Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical

Job Overview

Candidzone seeks skilled Quantity Surveyors based in Doha, Qatar, with a background in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying. The role involves managing commercial and measurement tasks primarily within large-scale construction, MEP, telecom, instrumentation, and industrial projects including piping, tanks, and static equipment on site and at fabrication shops.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee piping fabrication and installation activities.
• Manage and assess Storage Tanks compliant with API 650/653 standards.
• Handle vessels and heat exchangers related tasks.
• Supervise painting, insulation, non-destructive testing (NDT), and testing phases.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying degree with attestation.
• Have 8 to 15 years of direct experience in quantity surveying related to mechanical, piping, tanks, and static equipment projects.
• Strong knowledge of industrial construction and fabrication processes.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to control project costs effectively.

Technical Proficiencies

• Proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Experienced in Bluebeam software for document management.
• Familiar with PlanSwift or CostX for quantity takeoff and cost estimation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for design consultation.
• Navisworks experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
