Job description
Role Overview
Candidzone seeks skilled Quantity Surveyors to join their team in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must possess a relevant engineering or quantity surveying degree, along with substantial commercial and measurement expertise. Experience with large-scale construction projects, including MEP systems, telecom, instrumentation, and industrial sectors is vital.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project quantity surveying tasks within HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Fire Protection, Electrical Systems (MV & LV), ELV Systems, Telecom, and Instrumentation disciplines.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying, with certification that is attested.
- Between 8 and 15 years of practical quantity surveying experience in related projects.
- Demonstrable expertise in MEP, telecom, and instrumentation projects.
- Proficient in quantity measurement, preparation and analysis of Bill of Quantities (BOQs), managing variations, and cost control procedures.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
- Experience using Bluebeam software.
- Familiarity with PlanSwift estimating software.
- Knowledge of CostX or Trimble solutions.
- Ability to work with AutoCAD for project documentation and measurement.
Additional Information
Location: Doha, Qatar with site visits as necessary.
