Quantity Surveyor – Civil & Structural

Overview

Candidzone seeks skilled Quantity Surveyors for deployment in Doha, Qatar. Candidates should possess a degree in engineering or quantity surveying, complemented by extensive hands-on knowledge in commercial management and measurement across major construction, MEP, telecom, instrumentation, or industrial projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and measure quantities related to earthworks, piling, concrete, reinforcement, formwork, structural steel, roads, drainage, and civil & architectural finishes.

Required Qualifications and Expertise

• A Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying degree that is attestable.
• Possession of RICS or CIOB certification is advantageous.
• Strong background in quantity surveying and precise measurement techniques.
• Experience specifically focused on civil and structural works.
• In-depth understanding of construction quantities, bills of quantities (BOQs), handling variations, and cost control measures.

Technical Proficiencies

• Advanced use of Excel for analysis and data management.
• Competence with Bluebeam software.
• Familiarity with PlanSwift or CostX estimating tools.
• AutoCAD skills for technical drawings.
• Knowledge of Revit or Navisworks is considered a bonus.
