Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Nairobi office leaders to ensure consultants are deployed effectively to projects.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of forthcoming projects and staffing demands, allocating personnel to projects, proposals, and sales efforts accordingly.
  • Coordinate closely with the staffing team to align consultants' availability and skills with project needs.
  • Engage with consulting team members to anticipate staffing needs, advise on upcoming projects, and understand personal goals and preferences.
  • Keep staffing profiles for consultants accurate and current, and distribute case team confirmations.
  • Assist Finance with business forecasting and monitoring billability metrics.
  • Generate routine staffing reports to update leadership on status and metrics.
  • Monitor and analyze staffing indicators such as utilization rates, deployment mix, and lead times, converting data into actionable strategies for leadership decision-making.
  • Oversee onboarding of new hires, ensuring prompt staffing and integration into project teams.
  • Communicate staffing procedures to partners and consultants, maintaining transparency about project pipelines and business needs.
  • Offer strategic contributions to improve staffing policies and processes, identifying trends, risks, and capacity requirements in coordination with the Staffing MDP.
  • Collaborate with African offices to coordinate cross-office staffing requests.
  • Work alongside the training team to align staff schedules and availability.
  • Prepare and update weekly staffing reports.
  • Provide holiday coverage support to the HR core team as necessary.
  • Support regular career development operations by preparing materials, managing meeting logistics, attending career development meetings to offer staffing perspectives, and monitoring case feedback processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Over three years of generalist HR or staffing experience is desirable.
  • Proven aptitude in delivering high-level customer service while handling confidential information and administrative responsibilities.
  • Experience within professional services environments is an advantage.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both oral and written.
