Role Overview

This senior client-facing role is aimed at Lead or Principal IT Architects specializing in Enterprise, Solution, or Cloud architecture. The position strengthens BCG Platinion's architectural leadership and delivery in Southeast Asia. Responsibilities include defining enterprise IT strategies, leading complex digital and IT transformation programs, and balancing strategic oversight with hands-on involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within hybrid teams of BCG and BCG Platinion consultants on major IT and digital transformation initiatives.
• Provide advisory services on enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and IT strategy to senior stakeholders, especially in Financial Institutions and Insurance sectors.
• Align technology architectures with business strategies to yield measurable outcomes alongside client leadership.
• Conduct assessments of current systems, define future target architectures, and establish feasible transition roadmaps.
• Lead design and implementation oversight of enterprise and solution architectures, including pilot projects and proof-of-concepts.
• Create innovative, scalable technology solutions to overcome complex business challenges.
• Introduce innovation by integrating cross-industry insights on emerging technologies and models.
• Build trusted executive relationships to influence technology decisions and directions.
• Engage in business development activities including proposal shaping, presales support, and presentations.
• Mentor junior architects and consultants, fostering excellence and collaboration within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 10 years experience in strategy, management, technology consulting, or relevant digital/industry roles within Financial Services, Insurance, Telecom, or other sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in enterprise, solution, application, data, or cloud architecture domains.
• Proven success delivering complex enterprise-scale solutions.
• Strong foundation in architectural principles with practical experience in modern data platforms and digital ecosystems.
• Experience leading high-performing teams in large transformation programs.
• Proven abilities in presales, proposal development, and senior-level client engagement.
• Comfortable operating in hypothesis-driven consulting environments with sharp analytical skills and structured problem solving.
• Excellent communication, client-facing consulting skills, and storytelling capability.
• Strategic thinker with professionalism and gravitas to engage executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF; certifications valued.
• Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields; advanced degrees (MBA, Master’s, PhD) are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific as needed.
• Higher experience levels may lead to appointment as Principal or Director.
