Job description

About 1Password

1Password is expanding rapidly, surpassing $400 million in annual recurring revenue and earning recognition on the Forbes Cloud 100 list for four consecutive years. The company partners with iconic brands such as Oracle Red Bull Racing. Our mission is to enhance employee productivity securely by ensuring all identities, sign-ins, and devices are trusted. We created the leading enterprise password manager and founded Unified Access Management, catering to today’s integration of human and AI workflows. Over 180,000 businesses, including Fortune 100 companies and leading AI firms, rely on 1Password for secure SaaS and AI tool adoption.

Role Overview

We seek a Staff Product Manager to lead enterprise readiness and platform modernization for SaaS Manager—our product designed to help organizations discover, analyze, and govern applications used by their workforce. This role involves setting a multi-quarter product roadmap across diverse domains such as data ingestion, integrations, system reliability, admin user experience, and responsible AI features. Reporting to the Director of Product for SaaS Manager, this remote position is open to candidates based in the US or Canada.

AI Integration

Our teams utilize AI across the software and product development lifecycle to accelerate progress without compromising quality or security. Examples include AI-assisted code reviews, user research synthesis, and rapid prototyping with AI-generated designs. We emphasize human accountability and thorough evaluation before releasing AI-powered features.

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for platform modernization and enterprise enhancements of SaaS Manager.
  • Gather insights through customer conversations, internal collaboration, and data analysis to pinpoint critical enterprise challenges and workflows.
  • Plan and sequence key capabilities such as data ingestion, real-time processing, integrations, observability, and administrative user interface to maximize customer value.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design teams to assess architecture choices, clarify requirements, and break down complex problems into actionable deliverables.
  • Define success metrics and partner with analytics and data teams to track reliability, adoption, customer satisfaction, and business impact.
  • Coordinate prioritization, dependencies, and delivery risks across multiple product and engineering groups.
  • Manage product launches, market readiness, customer feedback loops, and continuous iteration.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight years’ experience managing product lifecycle with full ownership over strategy and roadmap for B2B SaaS products.
  • Strong technical knowledge of integrations, APIs, data pipelines, platform architectures, and enterprise-scale trade-offs.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-quarter initiatives involving cross-functional teams including engineering, design, security, and privacy.
  • Expertise in product discovery, problem definition, iterative validation, prioritization, and measuring success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of conveying recommendations and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Desirable experience includes SaaS management, license and IT asset management, identity and access management, cybersecurity, or other sophisticated enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with third-party SaaS ecosystem integrations such as SSO, SCIM, OAuth, audit logs, and incorporating responsible AI-assisted development is preferred.

Company Culture and Expectations

We foster a culture valuing collaboration, transparent communication, openness to feedback, and adherence to core principles: simplicity, honesty, and people-first mindset. Our environment is fast-paced and challenging, suitable for experts who embrace ambiguity, strive for excellence, and focus on impactful delivery.

Remote Work and Travel

1Password is a remote-first company, but values occasional in-person collaboration. Employees should be willing to travel for team offsites, meetings, and industry events as required.

Compensation and Benefits

US-based candidates have a salary range between $155,000 and $225,000 USD annually, while Canadian roles offer $172,000 to $249,000 CAD per year. Both include participation in comprehensive benefits programs (health, dental, retirement), paid time off, equity grants, and incentive plans. Our compensation philosophy balances fair market rates and internal equity based on experience and skills.

Inclusive Employment

1Password is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and provide accommodations throughout the hiring process. Compliance includes background verifications as permitted by law.

Use of AI in Hiring

We leverage AI and machine learning technologies in our recruitment process for application screening and enhancement, with options available for candidates to opt out. Interview stages require live participation without AI assistance to evaluate communication and problem-solving skills authentically.
