Our team develops predictive models and machine learning pipelines within a big data framework to enhance decision-making processes. Role Overview

As a key contributor, you will be responsible for developing forecasting, prediction, and root-cause analysis algorithms while collaborating closely with stakeholders in Bentonville, driving solutions that directly impact Walmart’s business priorities based on their significance.

Key Responsibilities

• Address complex time series forecasting problems that are essential to Walmart’s operations and derive actionable insights from vast data sets.
• Utilize modern data science tools and techniques, remaining updated with emerging trends in the field to resolve business challenges.
• Create proofs of concept (PoCs), effectively communicate outcomes to business teams, and iteratively refine solutions.
• Transition validated solutions into production-ready pipelines or APIs as required by business needs.
• Research and adopt new technologies to improve existing methods and solve challenging problems.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, code reviews, and mentor junior team members to ensure robust data science deliverables.

Candidate Profile

• Educational background with either B.Tech or MSc degrees holding at least 9 years, or M.Tech with minimum 6 years of relevant experience focused on AI-driven time series forecasting and machine learning.
• Adept problem solver with demonstrable skills in time series forecasting, machine learning, and data science.
• Proficient in Python, PySpark, and BigQuery.
• Experienced using machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
• Well-versed in common design patterns used in data science projects.
• Familiar with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure to leverage scalable distributed computing.
• Strong communication, influencing, and mentoring capabilities, combined with a strong sense of ownership and commitment.
