Splunk Developer

Project Overview

This position entails developing and supporting Splunk monitoring solutions designed to deliver comprehensive visibility across applications and platforms through metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Splunk solutions including Splunk Observability, Splunk Enterprise, and Splunk Cloud.
• Create dashboards, alerts, and monitoring use cases tailored to align with business and operational goals.
• Integrate and onboard metrics, logs, and trace data from diverse systems and applications.
• Assist with initial configuration, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
• Work closely with platform, DevOps, and application teams during solution implementation.
• Migrate and redesign existing Grafana dashboards and observability scenarios into the Splunk ecosystem.
• Produce documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders.
• Develop customized dashboards targeting infrastructure and application monitoring.
• Build KPI-driven visualization panels displaying performance metrics, error rates, and availability trends.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• 8 to 10 years of overall professional experience.
• 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience specifically with Splunk development.
• Proficient in creating dashboards and alerts within Splunk, publishing data, and enhancing Splunk applications.
• Strong expertise in Splunk implementation and configuration processes.
• Solid understanding of observability principles involving metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Capable of troubleshooting issues related to data ingestion and visualization.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with IT operations, DevOps methodologies, or Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Background in large-scale enterprise monitoring implementations.
