Position Overview

This role involves providing expert guidance to subsurface and drilling teams on technical challenges, cutting-edge technologies, and best practices in geophysics to support full field development plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Stay connected with stakeholders and industry leaders to remain current on advances in geophysics, exploration techniques, reservoir characterization, static modeling, seismic interpretation, and related software/hardware.
• Offer asset teams specialized consultation on geophysical studies impacting company development strategies.
• Advise on geophysical technologies and their integration with multi-disciplinary disciplines to enhance project outcomes.
• Ensure project studies comply with company standards and that seismic-related uncertainties are accurately assessed.
• Provide expertise on significant geophysical activities, including reservoir development and management through seismic reservoir characterization to construct 3D geological models of hydrocarbon resources.
• Apply geophysical technologies for reservoir monitoring and management, such as 4D seismic, borehole seismic, and cross-well monitoring techniques.
• Conduct regional seismic interpretation integrating well, geological, and geo-mechanical data to inform reservoir management decisions.
• Utilize sequence stratigraphy for seismic interpretation to better define static model frameworks and integrate seismic attributes into modeling processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geophysics or Geology.
• Minimum of 15 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably within operational settings.
• At least 3 years in supervisory or leadership roles.

• Direct and indirect reports are assigned in accordance with the organizational structure.
