Job Overview
This role involves proactively formulating and executing external public relations and corporate communication strategies to support campaigns and projects within the Business Unit, aimed at fulfilling business goals and enhancing brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all external communication efforts for the Business Unit, crafting integrated annual communication plans, media campaigns, and tactical outputs to achieve set KPIs.
- Identify and develop story ideas, coordinate meetings to generate news and editorial content, and efficiently manage approval workflows while liaising with Business Units and technical teams.
- Create and ensure the precision and high quality of various content formats including press releases, interviews, speeches, Q&As, digital materials, videos, websites, and brochures for external and internal audiences.
- Oversee delivery of annual plans, campaigns, and media relations by collaborating closely with communications and marketing managers.
- Lead the creation and implementation of communication plans and core messaging for the Business Unit.
- Serve as the principal liaison for Business Unit spokespeople, coordinating public engagements, media relations, and promotional events.
- Align communication outputs with the organization’s strategic vision and ensure consistency in messaging and visual presentations.
- Manage the approvals process among PR/Corporate Communications team, external contacts, and senior leadership.
- Maintain and track communications data, figures, and fact sheets, along with archiving and reporting all communication activities managed.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Business Unit operations and AD Ports Group.
- Keep abreast of pertinent media developments and maintain an updated media contact database.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned by direct supervisors.
Strategic Duties
- Foster strong relationships with key media outlets.
- Stay alert to communication opportunities, prioritizing tasks based on available resources and team objectives.
- Build effective relationships with internal customers and thoroughly research stories that align with business interests.
- Advocate for high professional standards in PR and corporate communication.
Required Skills and Experience
- Superior Arabic writing abilities along with strong command over English language.
- Familiarity with the maritime industry and maritime sustainability, with eagerness to deepen knowledge of the Business Unit.
- Proficient in PR and corporate communication skills including social media and current digital business practices.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Proven success in developing impactful PR and communication programs.
- Fluent spoken and written English; Arabic is advantageous.
- Creativity and innovation in approach.

Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications.
- Fluency in Arabic and English languages is mandatory.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in public relations or communications.
- Experience managing PR in both B2B and B2C contexts; readiness to stay current with industry developments preferred.
- Hands-on experience primarily in media relations and familiarity with UAE and international media landscapes.
- Commercial understanding and cultural awareness.
