About the Role
The Sourcing Executive will oversee the comprehensive sourcing process for apparel-related products encompassing fabrics, trims, and finished garments. This role is pivotal in ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery, fostering and maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contract terms, overseeing quality control, and optimizing sourcing costs to support apparel production requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers capable of meeting the company's criteria regarding quality, costs, and capacity.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with suppliers to guarantee reliability and consistent product standards.
- Monitor supplier performance regularly, including conducting audits and managing non-compliance situations.
- Manage OTIF by planning capacity and production schedules with suppliers, facilitating timely product launches, and ensuring timely inspections and sample deliveries.
- Conduct annual reviews of supplier performance in collaboration with quality assurance teams.
- Manage recovery of financial penalties or promotional contributions resulting from vendor performance issues.
- Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to achieve optimal cost savings without compromising quality.
- Analyze market trends to identify cost efficiencies and value-added opportunities within the supply chain.
- Establish and uphold strict quality control standards, working closely with suppliers and implementing improvement initiatives when necessary.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with broader company objectives, considering global sourcing trends.
- Handle lead times, inventory control, and order quantities to align supply with demand effectively.
- Identify supply chain risks, devise contingency plans, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and industry standards.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to secure favorable and legally compliant agreements that support company interests.
Educational Qualification
A bachelor's degree in Garment Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
Work Location
Positions are based in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, with mentions also of Delhi, Jaipur, and Kolkata as relevant locations.
