Job description
Role Overview
Take charge of T&G's comprehensive supply planning across its fresh produce network by developing actionable plans from complex, dynamic data. This role is not about maintaining existing processes but about creating and refining a robust planning function that integrates multiple supply chain components.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate diverse factors like crop forecasts, production outlooks, packout quality, inventory status, storage conditions, capacity constraints, logistics, and market demand into a cohesive supply plan.
- Analyze supply availability, potential risks, options, and necessities to guide decision-making effectively.
- Lead the Supply Review segment of the S&OP cycle, presenting risks, assumptions, opportunities, scenarios, and recommendations early.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance planning methods, decision-making frameworks, and responses to plan changes.
- Shape and instill supply planning standards, governance, and performance measures.
- Strengthen alignment between S&OP processes and operational execution.
- Develop scenario-based and constraint-aware planning approaches.
- Enhance planning transparency and data accuracy utilizing tools such as SAP IBP and Power BI.
- Introduce continuous improvement practices and best-in-class planning methodologies.
- Mentor and build the planning team's capabilities, including managing one Supply Planner.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced supply planning professional with strong background in supply, production, inventory, or integrated planning.
- Preferably possesses 5+ years of supply planning experience; candidates with 3+ years and a strong skill set will also be considered.
- Comfortable navigating complex, seasonal, or volatile supply chain environments.
- Strong analytical skills and numerical proficiency to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Hands-on experience with advanced planning software, preferably SAP IBP, and strong Excel skills; Power BI experience is advantageous.
- Ability to convert complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong commercial awareness concerning inventory management, service levels, costs, and value optimization.
- Confident in influencing stakeholders and providing constructive challenges.
- Committed to process improvement and fostering better ways of working.
- Experience in horticulture, fresh produce, or primary industries is a plus but not mandatory.
