The Modern Apps Solutions Engineer (Level III) is a hybrid sales and technical position within the sales department, concentrating on current trends in application technologies. This role supports the sales team by delivering expert technical guidance and comprehensive knowledge of F5 products and related ecosystems. We provide ongoing training and certification to keep skills current.

Primary goals include meeting assigned sales targets by recommending appropriate F5 products and solutions aligned with customer business requirements, collaborating closely with the Sales Account Manager. The Modern Apps SE acts as a trusted consultant, understanding clients' technical and operational challenges and delivering effective solution proposals that highlight both technical features and business advantages.

Responsibilities

• Convey F5's product strategy, value proposition, and solution messaging tailored to customer business goals.
• Deliver technical expertise through presentations, solution architecture, live demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions via in-person or virtual media including whiteboarding.
• Assess opportunity viability and analyze organizational structures.
• Ensure strategic partners stay informed about the latest technology offerings.
• Innovate go-to-market approaches to address diverse market segments within the region.
• Develop and integrate solutions embedding F5 technologies to maximize customer value.
• Consistently deliver high-quality customer service throughout the client lifecycle.
• Collaborate extensively with internal technical and sales teams to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise.
• Utilize internal resources effectively to support sales initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years industry experience in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with F5 or comparable solution deployments is advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of secure cloud architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with one or more public or private cloud providers and automation frameworks.
• Expertise in multi-cloud design environments.
• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Experience conducting training and knowledge transfer sessions with partners and distributors.
• Strong passion for sharing knowledge through demos and labs, engaging customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, including Python, JavaScript, or Golang.
