Solution Architect for Developer Experience Programme - Windows 11 & macOS

Key Responsibilities

• Own and define complete solution architecture for the Developer Experience initiative focusing on Windows 11 and macOS platforms.
• Transform multifaceted business, developer, operational, and security needs into sustainable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Design robust software distribution mechanisms including package management, trusted repositories, and developer tooling deployment.
• Create architectural standards supporting application allow-listing, least privilege access, approved elevation methods, software provenance, auditability, and security compliances.
• Coordinate and lead technical evaluations, architecture assessments, and proof of concept implementations, balancing functional, security, performance, cost, and operational factors.
• Generate comprehensive architecture documentation such as solution architectures, high-level designs, integration blueprints, data flow diagrams, security control mappings, and technical decision records.
• Collaborate extensively with Engineering, Security, End User Computing (EUC), Application Management, and Operations teams to ensure smooth implementation and transition to operational support.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect in delivering enterprise-scale workplace, endpoint, infrastructure, or developer platform solutions.
• Deep technical knowledge in Windows 11 and macOS environments.
• Expertise in Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Defender, Endpoint Privilege Management, and Endpoint Security Architecture.
• Hands-on experience in software packaging and distribution, package management solutions, trusted repository architectures, and developer tool distribution frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern developer ecosystems including SDLC tooling, Git/source control, CI/CD pipelines, integrated development environments (IDEs), containers, build systems, and command-line environments.
• Strong grasp on Identity & Access Management (IAM), least privilege models, application control, certificate management, network proxies, and security governance.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence tech stakeholders, providing architectural guidance to globally distributed and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous roles as Senior Developer, Technical Lead, or hands-on engineering experience.
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, Agile delivery models, cloud platforms, APIs, application integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Architecture, cloud, or technology-related certifications are beneficial.
