Solutions Architect

Role Overview

We are in search of an adept API Architect to spearhead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available integration solutions within a multifaceted enterprise technology environment. The ideal candidate should possess substantial expertise in solution and integration architecture, demonstrating an ability to create solutions that encompass customer-facing channels, operational platforms, foundational systems, and enterprise-wide data services. The role requires fluency in managing both traditional legacy systems and advanced cloud infrastructures, crafting pragmatic architectural strategies that meet business needs while promoting modernization.

Collaborating intensively with engineering teams, other solution architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and technology leaders, the incumbent will establish consistent architectural frameworks for APIs and integrations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain API and integration architectures for intricate enterprise systems.
• Create scalable, secure, and resilient integration frameworks leveraging APIs, microservices, messaging queues, and file integrations.
• Craft solution architectures to support a spectrum of systems including customer channels, operational platforms, core banking, and enterprise data services.
• Develop API strategies, standards, design guidelines, and reusable integration templates.
• Engineer solutions that bridge legacy systems with modern cloud-based applications and services.
• Evaluate current integration landscapes, pinpointing prospects for simplification, modernization, and reuse.
• Produce architectural documentation including solution designs, API specifications, integration patterns, diagrams, and technical records.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectures are realistic, implementable, and consistent with enterprise standards.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles from requirement gathering through execution.
• Work alongside security, infrastructure, data, and platform architecture divisions to ensure compliance with non-functional enterprise requirements.
• Support the establishment of API governance, standards, and best practices organization-wide.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and constraints within architecture implementations.
• Contribute to the organization's technology strategy, focusing on evolving API and integration ecosystems.

Required Experience

• 7 to 8 or more years of robust solution design and architectural consulting within complex enterprises.
• Demonstrated expertise bridging customer interaction platforms, operational systems, core processing functions, and data services.
• Proficient in integration architectures such as RESTful APIs, microservices, message-oriented middleware, and file-based data exchanges.
• Experience designing solutions spanning legacy infrastructures and contemporary cloud environments.
• In-depth understanding of API lifecycle management, design principles, integration methodologies, and service-oriented architecture paradigms.
• Awareness of Corporate and Retail Foreign Exchange products and procedures is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Capital Markets technology and operational workflows is a plus.
• Experience within financial services or banking sectors is beneficial.
