Role Summary

This leadership role involves overseeing the development and delivery of cutting-edge digital products by guiding cross-functional and distributed engineering teams. The role emphasizes modern engineering practices, cloud-native architectures, and driving digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams located both onshore and offshore.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Marketing, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful digital products.
• Ensure software engineering excellence through governance, coding standards, and adoption of best practices.
• Identify and integrate modern technologies, frameworks, and engineering tools.
• Promote AI-driven development methodologies and productivity tools.
• Provide oversight on architecture decisions, focusing on API strategies, microservices, and cloud deployment.
• Manage technical roadmaps, engineering KPIs, project delivery performance, and resource allocation.
• Mitigate technical debt and enhance platform scalability, stability, and performance.
• Conduct technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and assess vendors.
• Engage stakeholders via workshops, demos, requirement gathering, and solution design.
• Drive continuous improvement and agile delivery frameworks across teams.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Possesses over 10 years of experience in software engineering.
• Has more than 5 years leading software engineering teams, including distributed and offshore teams.
• Experienced working in product-driven organizations and agile environments.
• Deep understanding of modern architectural paradigms such as microservices and API-first design.
• Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Technical proficiency with Node.js, React.js, React Native, Next.js, and mobile app development.
• Knowledge of MACH architecture principles.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD, DevOps practices, source control, and the software delivery lifecycle.
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation capabilities.
• Experience in sectors like digital products, e-commerce, marketplaces, automotive, property, or consumer-facing platforms is a plus.
