About the Role
Join a global technology company delivering essential monitoring and dispatch software utilized in more than 20 countries. Their solutions support diverse environments, from small monitoring centers to expansive control rooms safeguarding critical infrastructure such as financial institutions, healthcare facilities, and government buildings.
As the company expands, they seek a versatile Software Engineer capable of working across various technologies including C#/.NET, React, TypeScript, SQL Server, and cloud platforms. The engineering team is close-knit, collaborative, and values technical foundations, problem-solving skills, and rapid learning over ticking every technology checkbox.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software for high-availability, mission-critical systems.
- Work across backend, frontend, databases, and cloud infrastructure components.
- Develop primarily using C#/.NET along with React and TypeScript technologies.
- Participate in creating new SaaS products and modernizing established systems.
- Identify and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Own feature development and technical issues from design stages through deployment.
- Contribute to architectural and technical decisions within a small engineering team.
- Gain hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-hosted environments.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code as part of the engineering process.
Candidate Profile
Must-have qualifications:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and demonstrated problem-solving capability.
- Proven backend development experience.
- Familiarity with C#/.NET, Java, or comparable programming languages.
- Comfortable engaging with multiple product areas rather than isolated silos.
- Experience managing production systems and debugging issues effectively.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred skills:
- Experience specifically in C#/.NET development.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Knowledge of SQL Server or other relational database systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Background working with high-availability or mission-critical systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps or infrastructure concepts.
- Experience leveraging AI coding assistants like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
Why You Should Apply
- Work on impactful software critical to emergency response and monitoring systems.
- Enjoy broad responsibility across backend, frontend, cloud, and infrastructure domains.
- Engage with modern engineering practices including AI-assisted development.
- Be part of a supportive, social, and collaborative engineering team blending novice and experienced professionals.
- Operate with real autonomy, where innovative ideas are welcomed and engineers take full ownership.
Additional Information
This position is ideal for problem-solvers who appreciate working across a diverse technology stack and desire greater responsibility than commonly found in larger teams. The role demands reliability and precision due to the critical nature of the software environment.
