Role Overview

In this Software Engineer position based in Bristol, you will contribute to advancing our leading open-standards platform by developing flexible, modular, and scalable solutions for identification, authentication, and authorization. This role requires collaboration in an agile setting, continuous improvement, and the ability to tackle technical challenges with enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities

• Join an agile development team to deliver high-quality product features.
• Integrate AI-driven tools to enhance engineering workflows, boosting research and implementation speed.
• Collaborate with product teams to refine and expand platform capabilities.

Candidate Profile

• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn intricate details about system functionality.
• Excellent skills in communication, teamwork, and collaboration.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to independently acquire knowledge about complex features and systems.
• Experience using AI engineering tools to facilitate various engineering processes, applying sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in frontend development utilizing JavaScript with Vue or React frameworks.
• Familiarity with development tools such as integrated development environments (IDEs), Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Bazel.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of identity management technologies and protocols like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, cryptography, and certificate/key management.
• Insight into enterprise-level security systems and configurations.
• Strong foundation in contemporary software engineering practices and design patterns, including modern web application development.
