About the Role

Join Signature Hospitality Group as a Software Engineer contributing to the technology powering some of Australia's leading hospitality brands, including The Sporting Globe, TGI Fridays, and Varsity. In this role, you will develop and enhance digital products that directly influence guest experiences across multiple venues nationwide.

Work Environment

This position is based in Melbourne's Support Office with a hybrid work model: four days onsite and one day remote per week. Collaboration and close teamwork with cross-functional groups are core to our approach, facilitating innovative problem solving and dynamic project development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain mobile applications utilizing React Native and web platforms built with Next.js.
• Translate Figma designs into refined, responsive user interfaces for both mobile and web environments.
• Engage in projects spanning loyalty programs, gift card systems, booking platforms, and other guest-facing applications.
• Participate in integrating and maintaining payment workflows, including solutions like Stripe.
• Implement automated testing across unit, integration, and preferably end-to-end frameworks.
• Diagnose and resolve live application issues by investigating root causes efficiently.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor within the daily development process.
• Collaborate directly with marketing, loyalty, operations, and technology stakeholders to evolve ideas into operational products.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a mid-level software engineer passionate about creating impactful digital products. You should be capable of converting Figma artboards into polished interactive experiences and be proactive in troubleshooting technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Approximately 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient with React Native for mobile app development.
• Experience working with Next.js or comparable React-based frameworks for web applications.
• Skillful in developing high-quality user interfaces based on Figma designs.
• Competent in unit and integration testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence in addressing live system issues.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools integrated into development workflows.
• Comfortable engaging with non-technical teams to translate concepts into viable software solutions.

Additional advantageous experience includes working with Stripe or similar payment gateways, AWS cloud services, UI/UX principles, and end-to-end testing tools like Playwright, Detox, or Cypress.
