Role Overview

As a New Graduate Software Engineer on the rapidly expanding Global Public Sector team, you will contribute directly to meaningful, customer-facing projects from the start, involving product development, client interactions, and rapid iteration. The team’s focus is leveraging AI to solve significant public sector challenges globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build custom AI applications impacting millions of users.
• Generate high-quality training datasets for national large language models (LLMs).
• Provide AI upskilling and advisory services to broaden AI adoption.
• Develop reinforcement learning and data pipelines for cutting-edge model creation.
• Create evaluation frameworks ensuring model reliability for enterprise and government clients.
• Deliver agentic AI applications alongside monitoring, testing, and deployment tooling.
• Implement tools to grow and qualify contributors on Scale’s platform efficiently.
• Build fraud detection systems preserving contributor network integrity.
• Use models to assess task and contributor quality to maintain large-scale accuracy.
• Develop sophisticated matching algorithms linking contributors to customers for best outcomes.
• Design optimized UI/UX tools combined with machine learning to support over 100,000 contributors accomplishing billions of tasks.
• Create AI infrastructure products to visualize, query, and explore Scale’s data assets.
• Build customer service retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications managing thousands of inquiries daily.
• Integrate state-of-the-art ML models predicting customer churn into retention systems.

Candidate Requirements

• Expected graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on product engineering experience including full-stack web application development, API/service integration, and direct customer engagement to define and iterate on product features.
• Completed internships focused on Product or Software Engineering.
• Demonstrated history of launching robust, scalable products and features.
• Experience managing large data volume systems.
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, React, and/or MongoDB technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical involvement with LLMs, AI model evaluation, or agentic system projects from internships, research, or personal work.
• Portfolio showcasing open source contributions or completed side projects.

Additional Information for Qatar-based Applicants

Employment in Qatar requires obtaining necessary visas and permits.
