Position Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer I with up to two years of experience and a keen enthusiasm for software development, especially in Ruby on Rails or comparable backend languages. This role provides the chance to contribute to enterprise-grade, scalable applications while working alongside seasoned engineers and adopting modern development workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and maintain backend applications using Ruby on Rails or similar technologies.
- Convert product features into clean, efficient, and testable software code.
- Work collaboratively with teams across backend, frontend, quality assurance, and DevOps.
- Implement unit and integration tests to maintain high-quality code standards.
- Participate in design sessions and code reviews to uphold team coding standards.
- Continuously learn and apply best practices for scalable and maintainable software development.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 0 to 2 years experience in software development, including internships or full-time roles.
- Fundamental to intermediate knowledge of Ruby on Rails or a related backend language, demonstrated via academic or project experience.
- Basic understanding of Microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
- Experience or interest in utilizing AI technologies to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Familiarity with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Git version control and continuous integration/deployment processes is advantageous.
- Exposure to cloud services (e.g., AWS) and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
- Motivated to learn and develop skills within a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Selection Process
- Telephone screening with Talent Acquisition.
- Technical interview conducted with the Hiring Manager via Microsoft Teams.
- Final interview with the Engineering team via Microsoft Teams.
