Software Engineer I

Overview

Join Honeywell Technologies in Singapore to support and enhance the reliability, responsiveness, and operations of connected building services. You will remotely monitor Forge cloud applications, analyze service issues, collaborate with field service experts, and contribute to improving customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor cloud-based Forge applications by evaluating system health, connectivity, and overall service performance.
• Analyze service cases generated by Forge, determine next steps, and work closely with Field Service Professionals to resolve problems efficiently.
• Utilize Forge data insights to spot potential improvements and effectively communicate actionable information to field teams.
• Investigate issues related to connectivity and performance, ensuring follow-through to resolution and escalating when necessary.
• Collaborate across diverse functional teams to increase service reliability and enhance client outcomes.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to backend development groups to aid product and platform enhancements.
• Maintain detailed operational records to contribute towards consistent adherence to service-level agreements.

Core Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering focused on monitoring and troubleshooting cloud applications.
• Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, including their monitoring tools and best practices.
• Experience working collaboratively with field service teams or equivalent operational groups.
• Familiarity with logging, alerting, and incident management systems to facilitate prompt issue resolution.
• Background knowledge or experience with Building Management Systems and HVAC systems.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Capability to identify energy inefficiencies or improper HVAC operations and recommend practical solutions.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices relevant to cloud environments.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously while also effectively collaborating within a distributed team setting.
