About the Team

Cisco Cloud Security leads the market in providing network security solutions that empower secure internet access on any device, anywhere, and anytime. Our Secure Internet Gateway (SIG) group is pioneering the development of advanced firewall, proxy, and inspection systems as robust distributed cloud platforms. We emphasize innovation in AI-driven, cloud-delivered security platforms including key technologies like API Gateway (APIGW), OAuth2-based authentication services, RESTful API resiliency, and integration with enterprise networks.

Your Role

We seek dedicated engineers to advance the next generation of cloud-based security offerings, enhancing strength and user experience. You will operate in a dynamic, technically demanding environment, contributing throughout the product life cycle, from complex problem-solving to direct customer engagement. Your efforts will be vital in driving innovation and impact within the security space.

• Design and develop user-friendly interfaces, robust RESTful APIs, and enterprise-level network integrations for cloud security solutions.
• Lead the creation and enhancement of core functional components.
• Participate actively in all stages of product development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Address critical customer challenges, ensuring delivery of meaningful and effective solutions.
• Foster a positive, learning-focused team culture emphasizing transparency, accountability, kindness, and collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• More than 9 years of experience in professional software development.
• Hands-on expertise with API Gateway technologies, including NGINX and KONG.
• Proficient with OAuth2 authorization frameworks.
• Experienced in cloud-native tools such as Docker, Go, Python, Terraform, and AWS services including DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, Lambda, ECS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTTP, HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, React) and developing RESTful APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, especially continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms like Splunk and Grafana.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems architectures.
• Ability to effectively diagnose and resolve system issues with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Great communication and collaborative skills for working across diverse teams.
